Cladding wind pressures on the Exchange Square project, Hong Kong

The wind tunnel test that was carried out on the project is described briefly. The effects of the wind climate probability by direction is then examined and design external pressures are determined as a function of the return period. The associated uncertainty in these results is then examined and the problem of determining appropriate design values and load factors is discussed. The results of the wind tunnel test have also been used to test possible scenarios for assessing the effects of internal pressures.
