Optimization of hot melt condensation in phthalic anhydride |

| Abstract: | This paper presents a new method for economizing energy in phthalic anhydride plants. This method makes full use of the thermal energy in the exit gas from the reactor for melting solid crude phthalic anhydride and thus dispenses with some condensers and equipment needed for heating the circulating medium. The consumption of thermal energy required for heating the circulating medium can be cut down and optimum utilization of equipment and energy is achieved. |
