The Characteristics of MCRT and Its Scanning Circuit

MCRT is a type of CRT in a multi gun structure which is one of the typical model of the flat CRT with a large display screen. The MCRT consists of several smaller CRTs (e.g.about 10 cm) to form a stand alone CRT with a large display screen (e.g.about 100 cm)by the melting technology of low melting point glass powder.It has some excellent characteristics including large display size,small depth,better electron beam spot,high brightness and contrast as well as high definition and so on.It is very suitable for the MCRT to be used as a large display device outdoors.A full display image of MCRT is composed of some unit images,with the result that there often are.some bright or black tapes between each unit image.The phenomena of bright or black tapes may be a serious defect for the application of MCRT.This paper also proposes a scanning circuit model and presents some test results suitable for the Camel CRT which is regarded as a test tube of the MCRT.
