EXISTING CONDITIONS OF THE SEISMIC EXPLORATION FOR OIL & GAS IN SICHUAN BASIN AND ITS FUTURE PROSPECTS

??Nearly 45 years have passed since the seismic exploration for oil gas was carried out in Sichuan.By means of a systematic and detailed introduction of the exisiting conditions of the seismic exploration in Sichuan and its main methods and techniques,it is presented that for solving the three major difficult problems,i.e.mountainous region,steep structure and limestone,geophysicists in Sichuan have founded a set of efficient methods and techniques through a sustained effort.These techniques include the mountainous seismic data acquisition,high-steep complicated structure data processing,lateral carbonate reservoir predication and comprehensive mountainous seismic data interpretation ones.Based on this,the main problems existing in the seismic exploration in Sichuan are objectively analyzed.They are:high exploration cost,year-by-year decreased seismic exploration workload and low data processing speed;the predication of organic reef and bank with a higher risk;the difficulty in widely adopting the advanced techniques and methods;and the existence of various factors preventing the seismic exploration from developing.Finally,it is proposed that it is the key of overcoming the difficulties to strengthen the reform and rely on the scientific and technologic progress,i.e.to reduce the staff,adjust the geophysical exploration profession structure,increase the investment in scientific research,intensify the study of key technical problems,quicken the training of compound personnel and enhance the consciousness of market competition to open up the domestic and foreign markets.
