Strategy and Suggertion on Development of Northwest Hydropower

On the review of history and present situation of hydropower in northwest region,the important effects and huge comprehensive socialbenefits of hydropower in the northwest power network were summarized. It was shown by analysis of deficient situation in electricity that mechanism for hydropower development on the upper reaches of the Yellow River should be improved to speed up the construction steps. The bright prospect of northwest hydropower development was illustrated, and the problems existed were pointed out with countermeasures and sugestions.
