Carburizing and quenching for sucker rod pump liners

This article recommends the process of direct quenching after carburizing for sucker rod pump liners. The application of this process shows that, in comparison with the two-step quenching process adopted by most of the domestic rod pump manufacturers, the duration of treatment is by 35 hours shortened and the energy consumption by 47% reduced, and the treated liners present small deformation and somewhat higher surface hardness.
