| Abstract: | A new type of man-made fiber has reached the market in the last years. Fiberized basalt is an innovative product that is facing the commercial sector of technical fibers between special glasses and carbon fibers. Their commercial production started in Russia and Ukraine but the competitive price combined with their properties has attracted new west European companies and research institutes. |
