On Melancholy Beauty in Ai Qing's Poetry and its Cultural Causes

It points out that the melancholy sentiment in Ai Qing's poetry is a complex sentiment integratedwith various sentiments such as national melancholy, individual solitude and life sorrow, which presents amulti-level structure form. It also expatiates the art strategy to communicate this complex sentiment---modernsymbolized art integrated with Chinese and Western cultures.
