摘    要:提出了支持高效管理的软件定义数据中心网络控制架构(FRINGE),采用分布式和集中式相结合的控制,特点是在网络边缘构建软件定义的集中管理域,利用边缘网络设备的可编程配置能力提高网络管理效率. 通过分析发现,FRINGE具有较好的实现可行性,仅需对现有数据中心柜顶交换机进行OpenFlow软件升级. 以数据中心网络管理功能中的故障诊断为例,说明了FRINGE可提升网络管理的性能,诊断探测开销比原有方法可降低至少2个数量级.

Abstract:The target of network control in datacenter is to satisfy the requirement of network resources of ten-ants and meet the demand of network management. A method of edge software-defined control framework sup-porting efficient management in data center network(DCN) was proposed named FRINGE. FRINGE builds up a software-defined networking(SDN) management domain at the edge of datacenter networks, exploiting con-figurable network devices to improve the efficiency of network management. The article analyzed the feasibility of implementation of FRINGE by updating the software of top-of-rack switches to support OpenFlow. It illus-trates the troubleshooting in network management to present the enhanced effectiveness of the framework. The probing overhead of FRINGE is two orders of magnitude less than the previous method.
