Abstract:The bacterium HS-A38 was isolated from the wild sea cucumbers growing in Dalian and identified by the phenotypic test and 16S rDNA sequence analysis.The antibacterial activity of strain HS-A38 was tested using the indicator Staphylococcus aureus,Bacillus subtili,Micrococcus lysodeikticus,Escherichia coli and Vibrio parachaemolyticus.The cultural and phenotypic characteristics suggested that HS-A38 is a species of genus Bacillus.The HS-A38 showed the inhibitory activity on Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus.The 16S rDNA sequence of strain HS-A38 has been submitted to GenBank(accession number GQ466597).
