| Abstract: | Central China Grid has been in rapid development since 2000. Accompanying successive openning up of Ultra High Voltage AC Transmission Demonstration Project, Debao DC Transmission Project and Fufeng Ultra High Voltage DC Transmission Demonstration Project, Central China Grid has become more and more important. At the same time security and stability problems have become more outstanding. For solving these problems and improving transmission capacity, there are more stability control equipments being installed in Central China Grid, 61% of 500kV substations and plants in Central China Grid have been installed stability control equipments. Because stability control equipments have dual character for power security, it is necessary to analyze the current situation of stability control equipments. This paper presents the actuality of stability control equipments in Central China Grid and analyzes the reasons to install these equipments.. |
