Abstract:This paper introduces the technology of distributed optical fiber temperature measurement system based on BOTDA, which is applied in high voltage submarine transmission cable live temperature monitoring, of which features and function principles are given. Applying distributed optical fiber temperature measurement system in 110kV photoelectric compound submarine cable test, to inspect the instrument of temperature measurement in accuracy, reliability, response time and operational performance, test results show that the temperature error of the technology is small, response time is short, running is reliable, achieving a wide range and long distance of temperature measurement, the technology can be effectively applied in the cable temperature in-service monitoring, this technology provides basis to achieve early warning of conductor temperature abnormity and real-time calculating of carrying capacity in safe temperature.
