中国是世界上煤层气资源较为丰富的国家。长期以来，由于对我国煤层气形成地质条件、煤层气富集区的分布规律及其控制因素缺乏系统的认识，导致煤层气勘探成功率低、效益低。文章通过对我国煤层分布、煤变质规律、煤岩吸附性、煤层孔渗特性、煤层含气性及含煤盆地或含煤区地质构造背景等方面的综合研究，阐述了我国煤层气地质特点的复杂性和特殊性，分析了聚煤区不同基底类型含煤盆地的煤层气勘探潜力，认为我国煤层气富集区主要集中在华北地区，指出我国今后若干年的煤层气勘探重点应是华北若干大型煤层气富集区，并以沁水盆地、鄂尔多斯盆地为煤层气勘探的重中之重。

GEOLOGICAL CONDITIONS OF GENERATING COALBED METHANE IN CHINA

Over a long period of time, a systematical knowledge on the geological conditions of generating coalbed methane and the distribution law of coalbed methane enriched areas in China as well as their control factors has not been achieved, which causes the economic returns and success ratios to be low in coalbed methane exploration. Through a synthetic study on the distribution, metamorphic law, adsorptivity, porosity, permeability and gas content of the coal beds in China and on the geological structural backgrounds of the coal bearing basins or regions, it is considered that the coalbed methane enriched areas in China are mainly concentrated in North China on the basis of expounding the complexity and particularity of geological conditions of the coalbed methane in China and analyzing the potential of exploring for coalbed methane in the coal bearing basins with different basements. In other words, the key points of exploring for coalbed methane in a number of years in the future should be some large sized coalbed methane enriched areas in North China, especially in Qinshui Basin and E′erduosi Basin.
