The toxicity of benzene is higher; it can cause cancer, the pipeline transporting benzene media is widely used in the refining industry. Design, installation and test of benzene medium pipeline have different requirements in different industries based on different specifications of the benzene toxicity level. In this article, based on the toxicity and harm of benzene, according to the status, content, temperature, pressure, the places, transportation condition and other parameters, how to divide the benzene-containing medium pipe level was analyzed, advice on benzene medium pipeline material selection was put forward. It’s pointed out that benzene toxicity level in the pipe shall be determined according to the specific use environment condition.
