| Abstract: | Based on the analysis of the calculating formulas of Passing-Through Ability of Downhole Motor(PTAM),new formulas in which the enlargement f borehole are proposed in the stiff condition and free deformation codition. The formulas proposed by Russian experts are also presented in this paper. Through example,the influence of the increase of borehole diameter on PTAM calculated is analysed by six formulas. The formula in the condition of free deformation, in the opinion of authors should be used firstly in calculated PTAM. The small elastic deformatin condition is beneficial to the using range of downhole motor. Moreover, the influence of stabilizer on PTAM can not be neglected. |
