| Abstract: | The liquid steel requirement and continuous casting process for the blooms of heavy rail steel were introduced. The design of the continuous caster for bloom of heavy rail steel and requirements for quality were analysed. The mass defect that often appears in continuous casting process, the relative solution and key technique are also systematically discussed. |
