Abstract: | 91 men and women aged about 38 yrs (members of the Oakland Growth Study begun in 1932) estimated in 1958–1959 their satisfaction in each year of their lives since high school. Results support the utility of the Life Satisfaction Chart for examining individuals' interpretations of the course of their subjective experience.
