Abstract:One of the most important aspects of application of nuclear technology in industry field is the application of radiation. The critical material basis of radiation is radioisotope source. Compared to other application areas of nuclear technology, the preparation technology of radioisotope source has not got revolutionary improvement. While, some original preparation technologies and application areas of radioisotope source, such as the development of special radioisotope source, brachytherapy seeds and instruments united with radioisotope source, are worthy of close attention. These developments are of profound meaning in furthering the scientific branch and enhancing the progress of corresponding industry. Then, the preparation technology and application of radioisotope source were introduced in this paper.
