| Abstract: | The synthesis of p-hydroxybenzaldehyde derivatives by catalytic oxidation of p-cresol derivatives is reviewed. The catalytic behaviors of cobalt salt catalysts, cobalt-copper bimetallic catalyst and other catalysts for the selective oxidation of p-cresol derivatives are discussed. |
