The paper illustrates chimney temperature stress calculation method in old and new Chimney Design Norms.Combining with specific examples,it analyzes chimney damage section temperature stress by using two calculation methods,and points out that: chimney temperature and material strength value calculated with new norms is lower than that of the old norms,however,the damaged section stress value is rather equivalent,which has provide certain calculation basis for chimney reinforcement and design.
