Abstract:To find a solution to the required long time and intensive work activity of classic BOD5^20 dilution and seeding method,the new BODTrak method,i.e.bio-incubator and computer system was studied on the theoretical and laboratory test basis as well as the analysis of impact of testing conditions on the measurement results.In BODTrak method,the water is kept in the incubator bottle at 37 ℃ temperature for 34 hours(1.4 days).The BOD1.4^37 value is measured with electro-chemical technique based upon differential pressure variations.The BOD1.4^37 value is very close to BOD5^20 value.This method is verified by application and proves to be easy and rapid in operation.
