| Abstract: | Based on unsteady one-dimensional gas dynamic theory, this paper gives an analysis of the gas dynamics characteristics of the gas buffers in gas-operated aircraft weapons. Models for the gas flow in the duct and buffer are suggested and numerical solutions given. Comparison and analysis between the computed and experimental results are then given. The proposed method will prove to be helpful in calculations for gas devices in guns. |
