| Abstract: | The edge detection of TV caption has important effect in broadcasting monitoring and search of TV program,and its application will become more and more widespread.So far,many operators can be used in the edge detection of TV caption.Sobel and Canny are the representatives of these operators.By the algorithm analysis of Sobel and Canny operator and the Matlab experience comparison,it can be manifested that Sobel operator is suited for the fast search and detection of TV caption because of its simplicity and high speed.Canny operator is suitable for the accurate search and detection of TV caption because of its excellent performance in edge detection. |
