辽宁强化农村水利基础设施保障粮食安全

辽宁省是全国粮食主产区，同时又是水资源严重短缺地区。为保障粮食安全，辽宁省充分利用有限的水资源，将农田水利作为最重要的基础设施来建设。重点开展了灌区节水改造、水库供水联合调度和农田基本建设，使水资源得到有效节约和优化配置，以水资源的高效利用支撑了经济社会的可持续发展。

Securing grain production by water infrastructures in Liaoning Province

Liaoning Province is one of the main grain production bases in China, but serious water scarcity exists in the province. In order to secure grain production, and make full use of limited water resources, the construction of onfarm water irrigation facilities are encouraged. Priorities are given to modernization of irrigation districts for saving water, joint regulation of reservoirs for water supply and construction of basic farmlands, which are effective measures for water conservation and optimized allocation of water and effectively support the sustainable development of economy and society by high-efficient water use.
