The phonetic inquiry system of the train number is a automatically interactive voice response service system based on the PSTN network. The voice response services of train number information which users can inquire by cellphone or landline are supplied in the system.The main designed method of the system is introduced in the paper. The system consists of the establishment of the CTI server connecting the telephone network, the platform of the system, database and voice documents of the background. The systemic platform designed uses the software of C ＋ ＋ Builder whose interface for operation is very friendly .The background database established uses the software of Access 2000. The inquiry system of the train number has been established with the technology of CTI and IVR. The system supplies the functions of connecting the telephone network, the automatically interactive voice response service, the management platform by which the administrators of the system can manage train number information.
