| Abstract: | Based on the basic features of ASICs, the significance of the establishment of the standard ASIC foundry is elaborated in the paper. The IC industry in China has now been provided with the basis to set up foundries. As a result, it is promising to establish foundries with Chinese characteristics. The exploration for establishment of military foundries and the inital achievements are introduced. |
