Abstract: | Three copper(I/II) complexes Cu2(HL1)2Cl]n (1), Cu(H2L2)Cl]n (2), and Cu2(H2L3)Cl2]n (3) were synthesized by the reaction of CuCl2 · 2H2O with three isomers of 4,6-dipyridyl-2-aminopyrimidine: H2L1, H2L2, and H2L3 under hydrothermal conditions. Although in compounds 1–3, the three ligands all exhibit bridging coordination modes, the structures of the resultant 1D polymers are very different. This result indicates that the structural motif of compounds 1–3 could be directed by the ligand isomers. |
