Abstract: | A nanoparticle (scanning microscope probe) can be effectively heated by equilibrium thermal radiation in a vacuum chamber. The particle also can re-radiate energy via near-field modes to the sample surface. A possible design of an oscillating source of microwave radiation (“nanotube”) based on these phenomena is considered. |
