| Abstract: | Geologic setting along Qinghai-Tibet Railway is complex. The permafrost has a wide distribution. Investigation and evaluation on permafroast is an important factor in the design and construction of railway. The causes of Bagazha patch permafrost are investigated and analyzed. An integrated technology of drilling,geophysical prospecting and temperature measurement is adopted. The setting of engineering geology is thus understood. Therefore, It provides a scientific foundation for designing and construction of railways. |
