| Abstract: | Cracks are found in internai sides of rings of anchor chain steel. This article analyzes the cracking reason by inspecting macrostructures and defects, microstructures and impact fracture surfaces, taking samples from bars which rings are made of and from these rings after machining & heat-treatment. The result shows that cracks are resulted from not proper heat-treatment process and welding process after machining. |
