| Abstract: | This paper explores the basic methods and principles regarding the translation of the names of Chinese universities and colleges and proposes workable solutions to rendering the structures and terms therein. The author calls for a reevaluation of the English names of Chinese educational institutions for the purpose of maximizing their communications with the western world. |
