In the digital media era, it is particularly important to explore how the standardization of Chinese fronts and the particularity of calligraphy art coexist and to expand the development space of modern font design. The contradiction and unity between artistic aesthetics and technical expression of Chinese calligraphy font, and the internal relationship between calligraphy and practicality of Chinese font were analyzed through cases. The ways and methods for the representation of calligraphy beauty through front design in the digital age were concluded and summarized. In the screen era subject to a change in the way of reading, Chinese calligraphy font design should be innovative, base on the perspective of specific application of calligraphy font, and make the inheritance and specifications coexist, and the freehand brushwork in traditional Chinese painting and creativity develop simultaneously in the method of contemporary art design and modern technological means, so as to balance the "degree" between calligraphy and normalization, and develop a digital path of Chinese calligraphy font.
