| Abstract: | Presents the optimum foundation scheme established for the cooling column at the Jixi Power Plant through reviewing different foundation schemes with necessary considerations dccorded the complicated geological conditions where the cooling column is: existence of soft basement complex, big changes in thickness of filled earth, and poor engineering properties of discrete earth, which justify further treatment of foundation. |
