Abstract:The testing principle and method for inspecting locomotive tyres were studied. The regularity of big angle ultrasonic beam propagation in the tyres and their multi reflections on circumferential boundaries were discussed in detail. Characteristics of defect detection and location were analyzed. And the experimental data and results were given.
