The running deviation of the hot rolled strip may cause production accident such as cobble or drift steel in the rolling process. Through the summaries of the adjustment schemes for process optimization and the strict management of equipment accuracy in the production line, the reason for running deviation of the hot rolled strip in the production was summarized after the useful attempts and verifications in the practice. According to the practice of the production line of hot rolled 1 580 strip in Masteel, the corresponding corrective measures was proposed, which reduced the equipment running failures, improved the rolling stability and the quality of hot rolled strip, and reduced the production cost.
