Researches on Old North Railway Station of Shenyang

In modern semi-feudal and semi-colonial China, the history of railway development is also the one of imperialist aggression. During the period, a lot of modern railway stations of high values and distinctive features came into being. These railway stations which marked with signs of times are integration of Chinese and Western architectures. These buildings play an vital role not only in Chinese architectural history, but also in modern architectural design of regionalism. This paper takes Yang Tingtao＇s Old Shenyang North Railway Station as an example, which is a famous Chinese modern architectural design master, to recognize its special values and features as a famous modern architecture, through the design analysis of its plane, facade, profile, style and so on.
