Discussion on the Teaching Assignment of External Environment Cognition in the Course of Basic Architectural Design

This paper briefly describes the homework assignment of the first grade students from College of Architecture, Nanjing University of Technology. Basing on it, this article explores the necessity of external environment cognition in the basic architectural design courses. Furthermore, it covers specific arrangements in the course, including cognitive contents and levels, requirements, teaching effect and so on.
