Blind carrier phase estimation for MPSK signals over SIMO channels

In this paper,a joint blind carrier phase estimator is proposed for MPSK signals over single input multiple output(SIMO) channels,which improves the estimation performance at low SNRs.By using all the signals in SIMO channels,the proposed algorithm removes the impact of the unknown data for phase estimation,and composes multiple equations about the phases of signals.Then the solution of the estimation problem is obtained by utilizing weighted least square methods.Simulation results show that at low SNRs,the proposed algorithm outperforms the V&V algorithm and has lower SNR threshold above which the estimation of the carrier phases remain unbiased.
