Hard-vacuum pyroelectric vidicon: suitable materials |

| Abstract: | A new mode of operation of the pyroelectric Vidicon is reported. This mode does not require a soft vacuum and the tube is operated hard. Requirements for suitable pyroelectric materials are discussed and the results of experiments operating in this mode are presented. |
