文化翻译观下电影字幕中方言的归化翻译策略

由于语言的不同,使用的方言也不同,而且方言本身具有文化内涵的差异性,这些使得在电影字幕翻译中很难找到能与之对等的表达,从而给译者带来很大的挑战。从巴斯奈特的文化翻译观出发,探讨了电影字幕中方言的归化翻译策略,即译者必须以目的语观众为中心,以文化作为翻译的单位,采用归化的翻译策略,并以通顺易懂的口语体译法作为对风格缺失的补偿,以实现文化的功能对等,电影才能达到文化交流和商业化运作的目的。

Domestication Strategy Used in Dialect Translation of Film Subtitle from the Perspective of Bassnett~ Cultural Translation Theory

As a result of differences among languages and dialects with their own cultures, it is difficult to find the equivalent expressions in film subtitle translation, giving great challenges to translators. Based on Bassnett＇s cultural translation theory, the domestication strategies used in dialect translation of film subtitle were discussed. Translators must focus on the target language audience, take culture as a translation unit, a- dopt domestication translation strategy, use smooth and fluent colloquial translation as compensation for missing style to realize the cultural functional equivalence and achieve the purposes of cultural exchange and commercial operation.
