| Abstract: | Summary The one-dimensional wave propagating from one homogeneous material to another homogeneous material is analyzed. Between these two materials there exists an inhomogeneous transition zone. Each material is elastic. The elastic constants are smooth functions in the transition zone and possess no jump at their boundaries. |
