| Abstract: | Thermal stratification which occurs in the CEFR hot plenum after reactor trip has been regarded as an interesting thermal-hydraulics phenomena. The cold sodium in the bottom of the hot plenum will delay the formation of natural circulation in the reactor primary loop, which will have the bad effect on the reactor core cooling after accident. In the views of the integrity of the structure, the appearance of the thermal stratification phenomenon will cause the thermal stress of the reactor main vessel and internals. |
