摘    要:介绍基于图像处理技术的便携式水表图像抄表系统的原理,对指针示数识别的图像分割方法进行了重点分析,本系统对于自来水公司实现计算机数据管理,提高经济效益有重要意义。

Abstract:An automatic recognizing system capable of making out the readings on a water meter that measures the water flux is presented. The architecture and principle of this system are described. In an image segmentation, an algorithm taking the area of the pointers and construction features of the water meter into consideration is proposed, which can extract the part of pointers in the special space of the water mater, and then binarize images using a dynamic threshold based on the area of the pointer. The design can enhance the recognition rate for the next step.
