Abstract: | 1. | Hydrogen may be effectively utilized as a production atmosphere in hardening of 03Kh12N10MT steel for the purpose of a directed change in phase composition, an increased quantity of residual austenite. Without reducing the strength and plasticity this makes it possible to reduce the hydrogen permeability and increase the fracture toughness of the steel, important characteristics of its effectiveness in aggressive media. | 2. | For 07Kh16N6 steel heat treatment in a hydrogen atmosphere is ineffective. | Voronezh Polytechnic Institute.
