Abstract:A soluble copolyimide was synthesized via the conventional two-step by using 4,4′-diaminodiphenyl ether(ODA) as the diamine monomer,bisphenol A dianhydride(BPADA) and 4,4′-oxydiphthalic dianhydride(ODPA) as the dianhydride monomers in dimethylformamide(DMF).The structure and performance of polymer were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectrum(FT-IR),viscosity testing,solubility testing,differential scanning calorimetry(DSC),thermogravimetric analysis(TGA) and tensile tests.The results show that there are characteristic peaks of polyimides around 1780 cm-1、1720 cm-1 and 744 cm-1.The resulting is soluble in common organic solvents.It has good thermal stability with glass transition temperature of 221.1℃ and decomposition temperature at initial above 512.4℃,and the residue at 800℃ of 53.5% in nitrogen atmosphere.The copolyimide film has tensile strengths,tensile modulus,and elongations at break of 138.7MPa,1.76 GPa,and 55.0% respectively.
