Abstract:In this paper, optical cutting method is applied in the measurement of the surface groove depth and the roughness in the deep pipe. The optical cutting equation for cylindric a surface is first given, and a mini measuring head with graded lenses, transmitting image and illuminating fiber bundles is designed. In the result, an advanced and a reliable method is obtained for the measurment of the surface groove depth and the roughness in the deep pipe.
