| Abstract: | The parameter estimation for the parabolic PDEs was discussed in this paper where the heat transfer in a fixed bed was taken as an example.From the presentation it was found that through the double collocation method in both the axial and radial directions the original PDE's could be converted into a set of algebric equations,so that the tedious procedure for PDEs parameter estimation was substituted by the fairly straightforward paramcter estimation for algebric equations.According tO this,a corresponding parameter estimation method termed as a two-step Gauss-Newton procedure was suggested. |
