| Abstract: | This paper discusses four approaches to cultural compensation.The author holds that owing to cultural differences and discordance between the source language and the target language,the translator should make some necessary compensation while being faithful to the original text.The aim of compensation is to convey adequately the message of the original text and to achieve equivalency to the maximum between the source language and the target language. |
