A Colorimetric Method for the Estimation of Dieldrin in Wool

Dieldrin is quantitatively extracted from wool with benzene–methanol, separated from the extract chromatographically, and reacted with diphenylamine and zinc chloride to give a blue colour, the optical density of which is measured.
