| Abstract: | Materials and Mechanics Effects in the Assessment of Laser Beam Weld Joints in Structural Steels For fine‐grained structural steels of different strength levels the consequences of mechanical inhomogeneity (mismatch) in laser‐beam welds on their deformation and failure behaviour without and with defects are quantified; requirements for fitness‐for‐service are derived. |
